In a ceremony last week, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem inaugurated the center, according to al-Raya.
Located in Bin Mahmoud area, Al-Utrujah is comprised of two residential buildings that contain a total of 112 modern apartments, equipped with a sports club, health facilities, a pool, and indoor and outdoor car parking spaces.
Each building has seven floors, a basement, and a ground floor.
The project has cost around 68 million Qatari Rials and it is expected that it will have an annual return of 7 million Qatari Rials.
All the derived revenues will be spent on teaching the Holy Quran in Qatar.
Qatar has more than 160 Quranic centers that provide educational services to some 26,000 students.
